CALL FOR PERSONNEL SELECTION TO SELECT A COLLABORATOR TO WORK ON TECHNICAL/SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES OF ESA PROJECTS
NITEL consortium is looking for a collaborator to work on ESA projects mainly concerning the use of satellite systems in 5G. The required skill and the characteristics of the collaboration are described in the following table.

| Object of the contract | Study and implementation of Virtualized Network Functions (VNFs) for future hybrid networks, leveraging key enabler tools and protocols such as OpenFlow and OpenStack.
The selected candidate will be responsible to study and develop the tools required to identify and validate new solutions and architectures for future terrestrial and satellite telecommunications networks. The candidate shall provide his/her contribution, in coordination with the other team members, and achieve the goals established in agreement with the project manager, in autonomy. In particular, it is expected a relevant support in designing, developing, configure and deploy testbed environments to reproduce real telecommunication networks, including (but not limited to) the setup of application servers and clients, routing, TCP/IP addressing, QoS, traffic shaping, virtualization containers, VNFs, dynamic resource allocation, IoT. The candidate shall write technical reports in English and shall participate to meetings with international partners via teleconference or in person travelling in Europe. |
